I've been doing electronic music since 1997. I played violin since 1989 (as a kid). There is no difference between the classical and electronic violin. Actually, the classical violins sound better except that you cannot add the sound effects without the electronic pickup (which is a tiny microphone). There are MIDI violins, but it is too expensive to have one...
